What's not to love about West Ashley? Some of my personal favorite spots include Ichiban Steak House, The Ashley Lanes Bowling Center, Total Wine & More, and The Historic Magnolia Plantation!
Ichiban Steak House and Sushi is a GREAT spot to stop for lunch or dinner. They offer a hibachi lunch special for $6.95 (my personal favorite). You can choose chicken, shrimp or steak hibachi with veggies and rice. They also offer the BEST fresh sushi. Come for dinner and enjoy the show as your personal chef comes to your table to whip up some hibachi on the spot!
Another great spot is The Ashley Lanes Bowling Center! There's no better way to spend a rainy day, than with some friends at the bowling alley! Drink a few beers and just relax as you bowl, or join one of their competitive leagues that meet different times of the week and vary in skill level. But definitely one of my favorite lanes to bowl at in all of Charleston!

Canterbury Woods is located very close to one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE spots in Charleston, Magnolia Plantation. Magnolia Plantation is a beautiful garden and historic home site FULL of history! It's the most visited plantation in Charleston, and is open year round. They have seasonal events including an Easter egg hunt in the spring and Christmas lights in the winter. My family and I are regulars and have a season pass!
